Chatsworth Movers

Chatsworth Movers

Chatsworth anchors the far northwest corner of the Valley, where the grid runs out against the Santa Susana rocks and the 118 carries you in and out. It is a mix of older single-family neighborhoods, newer hillside homes climbing toward the mountains, and pockets of light industry and warehouses off Lassen and De Soto. The lots tend to be larger than down-valley, the streets quieter, and the homes fuller. Laprom Movers reaches Chatsworth from our Reseda yard on Sherman Way, an easy run north and west.

Homes near the rocks and the foothills

A lot of Chatsworth moves are larger single-family homes or hillside houses tucked up toward the Santa Susanas, where streets climb and turnarounds get tight. We scout access for the foothill addresses, bring a shuttle plan when a full-size truck cannot make a narrow canyon turn, and put a lead who has worked these streets on the job. The bigger homes move on the upper flat-rate bands and usually want a packing day, and we bring the boxes and wrap and load it all ourselves. No handing the job to a stranger — Victor started Laprom precisely to get away from the flaky outfits that no-show and scratch the furniture.

The 118 and the warehouses

The 118 keeps the in-and-out clean most of the day, so timing is easier here than in the central Valley. We also handle the occasional small-business or warehouse move off De Soto, and the same hourly crew covers smaller loads cleanly.

Rates: $175 an hour for two movers and a truck, $239 for three, gear included. Flat bands run up to $2,020 to $2,980 for a three-bedroom and $2,880 to $4,260 for a four-bedroom house. A $150 deposit holds your date and applies to the total, with a written estimate and the CPUC booklet first. Laprom Movers is a licensed California mover, with a Cal-T permit via the CPUC plus US DOT and MC on file, and our own trucks and uniformed crews, never a broker. Reach us at (888) 711-4778.

Chatsworth Reviews

“I work in post-production and was moving apartments in Studio City between gigs, so my schedule was a disaster. They were flexible, locked my date with the $150 deposit, and showed up exactly when they said. Easy, professional, done in three hours.”

“Relocated from Chatsworth out to Las Vegas, the I-15 haul. I'd been nervous about a long-distance move after horror stories from friends, but the binding quote held to the dollar and the crew was the same start to finish. They wrapped the mattresses, labeled boxes by room so unloading in Vegas was painless. Started early to dodge the Valley heat before the load. These folks run a tight operation and I'd send anyone their way.”

“Tiny studio in Reseda, second floor walk-up, no elevator. They didn't grumble once about the stairs in that August heat. Quick, courteous, fair price. Thank you.”

FAQ

Our house is up toward the Santa Susanas on a narrow street — can you reach it?
We scout it first. Plenty of Chatsworth streets handle a full-size truck fine, but the hillside addresses near the rocks can have tight canyon turns. If a 26-footer won't make it, we stage on a flatter spot nearby and shuttle the load, and we'll have that figured out before we book.
Can you do a small warehouse or office move off De Soto?
Yes. We handle smaller business and warehouse loads with the same hourly crew — $175 for two movers and the truck, gear included. Tell us roughly what's involved and we'll size the crew and the time so it gets done in one trip where possible.
It's a big house with a lot to pack. How does the packing add-on work?
We schedule a packing day before the move, bring the boxes and wrap, and pack the breakables ourselves so they travel safe. It's a separate labor line at $175 an hour, folded into your written estimate so you see the full cost before move day.
