Winnetka is the quieter stretch of the west Valley wedged between Canoga Park and Reseda, mostly residential, with a mix of post-war single-family homes and older apartment complexes off Sherman Way, Roscoe, and the streets around Winnetka Ave. It does not have a flashy main drag — it is a neighborhood of families and renters who tend to move within the area or just down the road. Flat bands run $720 to $1,080 for a one-bedroom, $1,200 to $1,800 for a two, and up to $2,880 to $4,260 for a four-bedroom house. A $150 deposit holds your date and applies to the total, and you get a written estimate plus the CPUC moving booklet before signing. I'm moving from a Winnetka house to another place nearby — flat rate or hourly?
For a short local move we'll quote both and you take the cheaper one. A full house usually lands on a flat-rate band, but if it's a smaller place going just a few miles, the $175 hourly rate for two movers can come out lower. We're upfront about which way saves you money.
Can you bring boxes and pack the kitchen for me?
Yes. We'll add a packing day before the move, bring the boxes and wrap, and box up the breakables ourselves. It's a separate labor line at $175 an hour, and we'll put it in the written estimate so the total's clear before move day.
How early do you need to load in summer here?
Earlier the better. The west Valley bakes in the afternoon, often into the high 90s, so we like to start Winnetka jobs in the morning when the heat's manageable. If we can grab an early slot for you, the crew works faster and your stuff isn't sitting in a hot truck.
